My architecture class is celebrating its 35th Reunion this year, 2020. Graduating years are somewhat fluid, and we get to decide which class we wish to identify with. In my case, it’s 1986, the class I entered with. As architecture is a five-year degree, they decided to celebrate the same year as the four-year degree graduates they entered with. Each first year architecture class builds a green dragon that is paraded on or around St. Patrick’s Day from the Arts Quad to the Engineering Quad and back. In the less environmentally responsible days, it was burned in front of the architecture school.
